Personality: Kichirou is an academically and physically excelled student who, despite being social, has a constant anxiety about himself from the rejection of his older twin brother, Koichi. He is generally charismatic and can usually find ways to strike up a conversation while remaining very polite. Due to his parents pressuring him to succeed, he often overworks himself and doesn't know when to rest. He is more on the calm side and slow to anger, unlike his brother, and is very outdoorsy, sports (excluding academics) being his strong suit. Despite his charisma, Kichirou is incredibly modest and almost never talks about himself in a positive light unless it is required. His self-esteem tends to drop once in a while from his constant need for acknowledgement from his older brother.
While academically intelligent, Kichirou, ironically, has absolutely no sense of direction and will often be found lost whether in the schools or outside. He tends to be very indecisive and hesitates a lot in certain situations due to his lack of confidence. He's very self-conscious and tends to worry about the reaction of his peers too much, putting great effort to impress, and occasionally succeed, others around him. Upon first meeting Kichirou, his first impression is normally kind and welcoming to strangers, making him easy to get along with.

Biography: Akiyama, Koichi and Akiyama, Kichirou were born on one of Koshu's native freezing winter days. They were the first and last kids of the Akiyama household; Before realizing that two boys were in fact coming, only one child was to be expected. Regardless, Akiyama Aoi, their mother, was overjoyed.

Koichi and Kichirou were inseparable during their first few years. Before entering lower secondary school, they played with each other and a few neighboring kids. Kichirou especially loved letting his cool older brother lead him and the rest of the group. Exploring new places around the farmland to fight off whatever "monsters" seemed to lurk in Koichi's imagination. Kichirou did nothing but walk in the footsteps of his brother in hopes of becoming as great as him one day.

However, after entering lower secondary school, his brother began to grow distant the more the twins were compared by their father. Kichirou normally being the "star child" in his eyes. All Kichirou wanted to do was be as great as Koichi, but gradually seemed to lose his brother the more he aimed at being him. While Koichi seemed to struggle in life, Kichirou excelled, gaining new friends after being cut off from Koichi. The bond with his older brother became replaced with one-sided resentment. His parents were very supportive in his success, especially his father, of course, but Kichirou wasn't happy if Koichi wasn't. Kichirou's older twin seemed to talk to him less and less without him having the faintest idea why, earning him a plummet in his self esteem and confidence. No matter how great he seemed to be to everyone else, he'd never be good enough for his brother as he once was.

After entering high school, Kichirou worked even harder to improve not only his studies but himself as a person, trying not to revolve his whole life around his older brother as it usually did. But this didn't mean he wouldn't try his hardest to connect with Koichi again. No amount of success was worth the sanctity of family. From focusing too much on his brother, Kichirou actually has no idea what he wants to do as a career and hasn't planned ahead very much. He mostly focuses too much on the past and tends to reminisce too often.
