Recently I asked my good friend if she could recreate Naomi on X-Girl. I was interested in seeing her take on Naomi, since her X-girl are some of my favorites. She went beyond that and gave me a concept for what could be Naomi as a heroine with Mind Frame. I'm attaching the description Crimson gave for the concept.

"Recently in her universe Naomi and Bethany Hunter(the heroine Nocturne) became a romantic couple, and I know that Beth has been kicking around the idea that Naomi would eventually want to accompany Nocturne on her missions. So Nocturne would end up enlisting the help of some of her friends to ensure that Naomi was efficiently trained and outfitted with gear to assist her, since she doesn't have any powers of her own. So here is my design concept for her, along with some of my notes on her creation.

Heroine Name: Mind Frame

I went with Mind Frame because I thought it was a nice play on Naomi's profession. I originally thought of going with something similar to Nocturne's theme, like Midnight, or Moon Shadow, or something that sounded dark and mysterious, but ultimately decided on Mind Frame. I think that Naomi is a more cereberal combatant and is constantly using her psychological knowledge to try to bait and influence her opponents, so the name just clicked for me.

Design Notes:

Costume - For the costume I wanted to come up with something both practical, but still good looking. Naomi is a rather sophisticated and intelligent woman, though she also likes to look fashionable and sexy when she can. I looked into my own gallery and sort of used the same approach that I used when I redesigned Pink Falcon's look, going for something practical that a non-powered heroine would use. Given that Bethany is best friends with Tiffany Johnson, who used to be the Crimson Dynamo and is also rather handy at costume upgrades and designs, I figured Beth would enlist Tiffany's help with creating Naomi's costume and gear, so that also played into the design a bit. Her costume consists of a nanite-kevlar weave underlayer she wears over her lingerie/sports bra & panties. The underlayer covers her from neck to toe and is soft and thin, very lightweight and breathable, but at the same time the technologically advanced fabric protects her skin from knife blades and bullets. Over that she wears a legless/sleeveless bodysuit that is also made from a special nanite weave that has the consistency of a soft leather. The suit has a front zipper and lightweight armored shoulder padding. Naomi's gloves are reinforced and made from a very durable synthetic leather material, with weaponized stun nodes in each of the knuckles. She can use these for close quarters fighting to stun and incapacitate her opponents. The armored gauntlets can also block blunt objects and sharp weapons like swords. Her boots are made from a similar material as her gloves and reinforced in the toe box and heel so her feet are fully supported in combat, not to mention the reinforced toe box can let her do even more damage with her kicks. Her utility belt houses a variety of gadgets, including a defensive taser, a small ion cutting torch, a utility knife, and other items. Her mask has protective lenses built into it to protect her eyes from things like mace and having sand thrown in her face in a fight, etc.

Color wise I wanted to go with something that represented Naomi's profession as psychologist/doctor, but also wanted to keep it in theme with Nocturne's costume since the two would be patrolling together. Originally I was going for a Grey/Green/Yellow color scheme with her, but that didnt' mesh well with Nocturne and seemed to stand out too much so I changed it to blue and grey. Grey is a color that represents psychological neutrality, which is something Naomi uses with her patients, and blue is a color that is associated with being an intellectual, which Naomi uses to her advantage in combat. While Nocturne is very take charge and aggressive when she takes down the bad guys, given that Naomi is new at being a heroine, I thought it would make sense for her to be the more laid back partner who analyzes(sometimes over analyzes) the situation and synergizes well with Nocturne's combat style. Yellow represents emotion while green represents balance, if anyone was curious as to why I tried that for her first color scheme."
