betteo In reply to ??? [2010-01-01 21:19:06 +0000 UTC]

Many thanks!
My goal was to create clear depth, without strong atmospheric tricks. And some eye wandering.

That smoke only exists -as I remember- as a breaking element. Something to unbalance the thing... You're right!

Awesome piece! Im curious how you achieved the red/green tonal vibrating/blurring effect?

Depends on the software version you use,
Search for something called Chromatic Aberration!

Awesome! The snow, the smoke, the entire scope of the image is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of the Fafhrd and Grey Mouser trade, Mignola drew.

I really adore the thumbnail of this, but the larger one has a sort of... pseudo 3-D thing going on that hurts my brain...

In fact, don't know real snow here in Mexico.
Funny!!! Maybe that's why it came out as cozy snow.

Nice color split use. I find it gives the brilliance necessary to the very white color scattering snow

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

betteo In reply to Sir-Pumpkinhead [2009-12-23 00:30:24 +0000 UTC]

Sir-Pumpkinhead In reply to betteo [2009-12-23 18:06:19 +0000 UTC]

^-^
