Description 1. Name: Madigan the Old Wooden Brake Coach
2. Class: Lightweight Brake Coach
3. Built: 1873
4. Stereotype: Smother
5. Bio: Madigan is an old wooden Lightweight Brake Coach owned by the Midlothian & Blue Island Railroad. Madigan was bought by the M&BI Railroad for next to nothing when her class was being phased out at the turn of the century. The Railroad, which was built to service the country club, later closed down during the great depression. This resulted in Madigan, the engine who pulled her, Dill, a 0-4-4 tank engine, and the main passenger coach, Toby, heading for the scrapyard. Fortunately for Madigan, she was bought by a member of the club, who decided to use her as a playground for his kids. Sadly, Dill and Toby were scraped. Years later, the Country Club was looking for a way to increase membership applications and decided to rebuild the railroad. After buying Ash, the Club tracked down Madigan and restored her to full working order. Madigan, who was happy to be back in service, started treating Ash, like the steam engine was her child. Madigan is now happy to have another child again, after helping to raise the children who used to play in her, their children, and their children's children. Though she can be very overprotective of Ash and may be made of wood, that doesn't mean she isn't tough as steel.
