"Why can't you run drums?" Blaine asked with a sigh, tightening the girth before he swung his leg over the saddle.
"Because; your horse, your competition!" Cleo replied, running her fingers through the black fringe on the bridle as Bailey's eyes drooped, half asleep.

"But it's..barrel racing. I feel like an idiot. I'm a guy. I'm not supposed to be doing this!" Blaine complained, looking down at Cleo who held Talon in her arms.
"Oh quit it, you'll be fine. He runs a strong pattern, all you have to do is kick when he needs to be kicked and just give him a little bit of help coming out of his turns." She said, looking out over to the competitiors that were already in the ring, sliding around the second barrel. She did not doubt Bailey in the slightest, nor Blaine, but she did feel as though they were throwing the stallion in the deep end, entering him in so many classes so early. But, a wet saddle blanket makes a good horse, and Bailey was certainly going to be tired by the end of the competition. She had seen him progress so much and so quickly, she couldn't help but get her hopes up for him; he was going to be another star stallion for them, much like Gunner and Cheese. They seemed to have a lot of luck with their stallions, and that was something that Cleo hoped continued to happen for a very long time down the track. The world had not seen enough of Blaine and Cleo yet. They still had a damn lot of horses left for the world.
