Description
A word/event free version of the nerd vs critic image. A spoof of a fairly well known street fighter image. That was made as an ad/contest piece for their 'final battle' video.Just thought it'd be good to post it free of the test, which was actually an afterthought anyway
Also in the process, I slightly cleaned it up a little.

it's so fucking wierd how hadoken and kamehameha look so alike. also super hadoken looks exactly like kamehameha. freaky. :0

I'm not 100% on this, but I think street fighter's move was a direct homage to kamehameha.

I think it may be the reverse, the kamehameha wave being inspired by the hadouken. It all depends on what year the Dragonball manga was released and the release date of Street Fighter.

I'm fairly confident Kamehameha came first. Dragon ball started in '84 and the wave was introduced early on.Β
Hadouken was in the first Street Fighter in '87.Β It's pretty close though.
Β I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were influences before them somewhere.

Also, it's a direct parody of an image featuring Ryu and Akuma.

Its a spoof of a famous piece of street fighter art. Observed and studied the image closely in order to spoof it. It still took me a full week to complete it.

lol, angry video game nerd (well, technically a hybrid of avgn and Akuma from street fighter), but he and gates do look kinda similar when animated.
And yes the other one is the nostalgia critic.

Probably trying to figure out how to do the background. Still not all that satisfied with it yet. I need to learn more about the photoshop brushes.
Also need to figure out what to do with the remaining marks here and there.
