As usual for comic pages this fucker too FOREVER. Even then there is so much more I would like to have added.Its still needs work but at least its its quasi presentable now (well, for me at least).
This was actually inspired by [link] this teenage mutant ninja turtles cartoon. Apparently some anime studios can't adapt a series without turning into some sentai show.

Yeah, Kasem did voice Ken in the 'Battle of the Planets' version. The character was named Mark in that version.

True. Actually my main commentary on it is how formulaic most of japans series and adaptions are. i.e. if they made scooby doo, it would look something like power rangers or gatchamon.

That would be interesting, Akira Toriyama's style is pretty unique though.

Aside from DB/DBZ Toriyama, made Dr. Slump, and the artwork for the Dragon Quest series, as well as Chrono Trigger and Blue Dragon.
Also made some more obscure series like Sandland (manga) and Ackman (snes game series)
There was also a series called Beet the vandal buster that was done by an protege of his who I believe also worked on DBZ. Very similar art style.
Those are really the only ones I can think of off the top of my head at the moment.
But yeah, point is his style is fairly unique compared to most.

Sometimes I like sailor moon or azumang, other times I prefer Blade of the Immortal.
Toriyama's stuff has traditionally been very cutesy, especially his early stuff.

Actally the past couple of years has spawned several scooby doo revivals. Some better then others. They all become a blur after a while.
As for 'my' version, all thats missing is a fairy, and scooby as a giant mecha and you pretty much have the whole show. Its basically a bunch of anime chiches. That being said, I find it funny how much people love those cliches. The Kujibiki Unbalance effect at work.
