Description Bhargava Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Vishnu, who was blessed to be immortal, and he is one of the seven immortals of Hindu Mythology. He was the son of Jamadagni, and descendant of Bhrigu. Due to that reason, he was also known as Bhargava (Descendant of Bhrigu). And the followers of Parshuram are known as Bhargava Samaj (Bhargava Community).

"In the interval between the Treta and Dwapara Yugas, Bhargava (Parshuram), great among all who have borne arms, urged by impatience of wrong, repeatedly smote the noble race of Kshatriyas. And when that fiery meteor, by his own valour, annihilated the entire tribe of the Kshatriyas, he formed at Samanta-panchaka five lakes of blood." — Mahabharata 1:2

Parshuram was originally named as Ram. Since he received his weapon, the axe, which is also called Parshu, he became Parshuram. He slayed all Kshatiryas of Indian Subcontinent for 21 times. He made the land Kshatriya-less for 21 times. He was trained by Lord Shiva himself, and Shiva was also defeated by his own disciple, and he wore that scar proudly for his success as a mentor. It is said that Parshuram lives in Mahendra Mountain. He has power of teleportation, using which he travels in space at nights. He was mentioned several times in ancient texts including the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. He came enraged when Ram broke the Shiva Bow in the Swayamwar of Seeta. He was the mentor of three legendary warriors of the Mahabharata: Bhishma, Drona and Karna. The invincible bow he received from Lord Shiva, the Vijaya Bow with unbreakable string, he gave it to Karna. However, Karna used it only on the 17th day of the Mahabharata war, on the same day he was tricked and killed.

Parshuram is also said to return in the current dark age to train the tenth incarnation of Vishnu, Kalki. He will train him in martial arts and everything. And Parshuram invented the well-known combat art Kalaripayattu, from which other martial arts like Kung Fu and Judo are believed to be originated. Here, I've portrayed Bhargava Parshuram slaying the Kshatriyas using his Parshu (axe). He could call the Vijaya Bow, whenever he wants. So I haven't portrayed that. But I've portrayed the arrows back in the container.

I was also named after this legendary person. My parents has given me the name, Bhargav, so that I could be as obeyed as Bhargava Parshuram.

If you want to buy it, the purchasing option is always open. I can't give you the original file, since it would be against copyright terms.

No, I'm not yet professional artist. I'm just a Hobbyist. Besides, I use photoshop to create these arts.

I've read it that Shiva, Agastya and Parshuram had invented Kalaripayattu. However, since Parshuram was Shiva's disciple, he influenced it more than anyone else and improved most of the methods. Yes, Agastya is believed to spread knowledge of Kalaripayattu among mankind on earth. But major implementation were done by Parshuram, after learning warfare from Shiva.
