Unkulunkulu for the TCG Mitos y Leyendas is the god of creation for the Zulu people in South Africa. He is believed to have grown from a reed in the mythological swamp of Uthlanga. In the isiZulu language his name means the very great/high one. His myth is that there once was a seed that fell to the earth and from that seed grew reeds in which Unkulunkulu was made. When he grew to a big enough size the reed broke and came out of the read. He then went to explore and found that the other reeds were also growing people. He pulled off everyone and also pulled off medicine man and their dreams. Also he pulled of cattle, fish, birds, and fierce creatures. Then he created everything else like the mountains, rivers, the moon, the sun, and everything that exists today. After all that work he taught the people how to hunt, attend crops, make fire, and to make clothes. Then he gave the animals their names. After that he sent a chameleon to the Zulu with a message that they will live forever but he soon grew impatient and sent a fast lizard with the message of death. Well, the lizard got there first and as soon that it gave the message death came soon after. That is why we die and don't live forever.
