Pah... you need to get out more.
But I listen to an average of 12+ hours of music a day.. up to 20 hours a day if I'm working from home.

The advantage of being your own boss, and having the company's office in your home is no-one can object to your playing music during work hours.

yes thats a HUGE advantage over my position here LOL. but still a few perks like being able to chat too u on DA now 
and bia37 is like a machine with legs, that causes headaches, constant headaches, infact shes causing one as we speak.
on a more serious note, 7 days of work a week, everyday of the year, and bia looking after the baby etc, it just becomes irritating when u wanna just go out there and take some photos n relax etc.
all our shots are of things withing walking proximity of our house. thus my gallery being totaly city buildings.

I'm lucky that I have finagled my life to the point where I am based at home for my work, and when I am out doing jobs we can easily factor in leaving ealrier or stopping on the way home to get a few shots. *Sadandal , and her wonderful daughters, *ragnarok-leaves-none and *CircuitDruid are utterly fantastic. They'll bend over backwards to create opportunities for me to do a shoot. We still work hideous hours with a lot of travel, but it's doing what we enjoy and being our own bosses we do have the opportunity to manipulate time/space do an extent.
Our main inhibitors are the children/spouses. A lot of time is spent as parental taxis, checking homework, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc, but her kids are beautiful, and my son is a real joy, so it's worth it. Our respective spouses are more of a sticking point. They don't get the whole being creative thing, and hate it that we have a job we love when they seem to think it is de rigeur to hate your job.
The good news for you is that it gets easier as your child gets older. I started taking Mr P on expeditions with me when he was about 3 years old, and now he takes his own P&S camera with him and makes videos (pretty well for a 7 year old) while I shoot stills.

and yeah atm were so tied up, i know things will change, they have to if i work so fucking hard, but i guess there is just that excitement to want to go out and get solid shots.
im hoping they employ another person at my work place soon, the boss speaks of forcing me to have a day off each week, so il see how that turns out.

i've tried to capture smoke before, but i wasn't quite in the right setting, it was a little windy =/
