I totally dig this shot. Like all the rest of your work, you grab hold of the complexity of a range of emotions that dances in a solitary moment, and throw it out without presumption. Fabulous.

I DID mean to flatter...
It takes talent to know when to push that shutter button, though. I have been trying, but I still catch the cheesy moments and not the times of power and gravity that I am looking for. Of course with 5 kids saying "Cheese!!!!" every time I get out my camera... LOL. It's difficult, but you are doing a great job!!

Cheeese?!?... where where?? hehehe
but i can imagine how much of a frustrating and agitating feeling that might be, with all them wee ones runnin about and screaming "CHEESE" at random intervals..
i think i'd find myself runnin around the house with a cracker in hand, wondering where the hell that cheese was at..
with the hope of distracting my adult sensibilities, and letting the chaos induced haze brought on by all that unbridled young&insane energy, and just let it wash over every thought..
becoming one, and fully in-tune... with the ways of the ankle biter.
hehehe..
so yeah back to reality then shall we?..
I'm not sure what kind of camera you're using, compact or DSLR.
but i've found when using a proper DSLR strapped with a hefty tele-lens, you get the most impressive results.. cause none of em have an idea you've got a camera pointed right at them... hehe
and thats where beauty and spontaneity can be found, in between the fallen seconds that pull us through, there's a frame for every such moment.. and if you look close enough, you'll see seconds turn to minutes so with every moment another story to be told...
alright, that enough outta me..
this landslide of thought has been brought to you by... INSOMNIA!!!
and i feel a gateway to slumber a lurking, and can almost smell the coma that it so kindly has brought along with it..
and oh yeah... thank you
till time should allow,
christian

I am using a Fujifilm Finepix S1000, but I don't have an extra zoom lens.
The best photos are taken when they aren't looking, that's for sure.
I shall join you in slumber here in a moment. Well, not that I will join you in the downy softeness of the bed, but I will wave at you in the land of Nod.
goodnight,
jenn

This is such a well-done closeup. What really brings this image to life is the glint in the eye, without that it'd just be another guy smokin'. Do some more closeup work like this, I like it!
