Description EDIT: Did a little bit of tweaking (I should really be more patient and wait at least a night between finishing and posting a picture...  it helps a lot to get a little distance to see the flaws)

I erased the crossing lines in the hair, so it looks more Mucha-style and changed the frame shape and size. It looks a bit more compact now with less unnecessary empty space.

I like it much more now ^^

-----------------------------------------

After spending a few days in Brussels and being surrounded by an abundance of art nouveau design and architecture, I felt the urge to do an Art Nouveau inspired piece by myself. I used one of my sketches I did in China as a starting point, but changed it quite drastically.
Here the original sketch:

Although I liked the drawing, It seemed a bit too overladen with detail when I wanted to turn it into the digital medium. So this turned out a bit more puristic.
As original Art Nouveau  (mainly the artist Alfons Mucha) used a lot of photography models to paint over, I used some photos for this as well.

The Voila pictures were taken from this site sprache-der-blumen.de/wp-conte…
and the anemones in her hair were taken from here media05.myheimat.de/2012/03/24…

All textures used here are taken from cgtextures.com

Well, I hope this rendition of my OC Biali is to your liking ^^

Excellent!  I'm so glad you got to spend time in China.  It changed me, both as a person and as a storyteller.  Your Nouveau stuff is lovely!

Well, it was an experience that made me see what I want in life, so it paid off in the end. Also, seeing other cultures makes you re-evaluate our on views of the world.

And thank you! It's an Art style that just speaks to me. It was really breathtaking to see a whole city which used it all over the place!

Excellent.  I felt the same way when I left China.  And yours was a very different China than the one I resided in!

Loved Brussels, just couldn't spend more than a day there.  I hope to return some day.

Looks great! Even with the sketch already done this must've taken a while.

Thank you ^^
Yeah, the sketch mainly was just to pinpoint the layout a bit ^^ I think all in all, this took 8 hours to make ^^

Ooooh, I didn't see all the differences from the original until now. I didn't realize you redid all the linework
