Well, honestly, i just HAD to draw this after reading that fairytale. It's one of my favorites. So sad~~And, i found out that Fairytales really inspire me. They give me ideas for drawings that wouldn't have been any other way. -sigh- But why must most of them be really, REALLY sad? Just look at the Little Meremaid, the Little Match Girl, This, and many others by Hans Christian Anderson as examples. I think one of the only ones i've read that had a good ending was The Snow Queen. That was a good story. -nods-
Eh, this took a while. AFew days to a week at most. And the background STILL isn't as good as i wanted it to be. But i didn't know how to make it look the way i wanted to to, so i just put it up as it was. Oh well, the picture as a whole still looks nice.
Aaaannnnddddd~~~ You get to see my fire fail! It looks better now that i've been practicing, but they still don't have that glowy effect that i want them to! TT^TT How do you DO that glowy effect?! I need to know this!
Oh, and for those of you wondering why it looks like he has both his legs, don't worry, he doesn't. His stump is on the other side.

I really love this story. It's almost likely The Nutcracker story but this one end with death of those two.
The fire effect is nice and the post of ballet dancer too. I remember that I used to have Ballet Dancer Music Box like her too. XD

I love this story as well, Alice-san. I read it once when i was a little gorl, and then again at Virginia. I was so moved that i had to draw this~
You won't have to worry about the Fairy Tale drawings, i've been working on alot of them lately. ;3
ANd, that performance was beautiful, although i don't remember the Ballerina having one arm, -shrugs-

Btw, it's right that Ballerina in fairy tales has arm. I compare this two like protagonist of Tin Soldier in real life because they are cripple but don't give up their dream to become a dancer XD

Nice drawing! I'm not familiar with the fairy tale, but you don't have to know the story to tell what's going on, and you don't need to know the story to tell that this is one cool, emotional scene. Good job!
