Was going through my photos, deleting stuff to make room for all the photos i've been taking, and found my old "scavenger hunt" photos. The now defunct Mustang club i belonged to had a contest, where members created a list of things you had to photograph your car next to. The more rare, unusual, or just plain bizarre the subject, the more points you got! The list was something like four or five pages long, and had stuff like "picture of your car with ten auto cleaning and detailing products next to it", to "photo with a cop car" and so on. One was "pic with train or locomotives". Having free access to locomotives and stuff like that, i didn't want to cheat, so while hunting around in Elgin, i spotted the little coach yard on the West side of town. The scoots park alongside the depot overnight, and the parking lot continues alongside them. Easy shot! Call it another "i'm so awesome" shot, but i just thought this was pretty cool. H have hundreds of these photos, and won the contest easily. Didn't win anything, but i won dammit! Anyways, Elgin Metra depot/coachyard, April 2009Related content

Also what are those little tubes. They look like they are next to the tracks but in this photo they are near the couplers.

The two on the vertical I beams? If i had to guess, that's where they place the ends of the electrical hookups when they aren't plugged into the trains overnight
