I KNOW RIGHT? Fumi Yoshinaga is a GENIUS. Her characterization is spectacular, and her pacing and storyline is awesome, too (Ono is probably the best). In fact, now that I think on it, I am seeing lots of parallels between TLTEAOTJ+Amal and Antique Bakery or All My Darling Daughters. The same comedy mixed with serious life issues... Entertainment and meditative reflection on life in equal measure...
Yoshinaga's been in the biz for longer, but I think that TJ+Amal could be it's American equivilent, I really do. :'D

AB is one of my all time favorite Yoshinaga collection. I absolutely adore Ono, and I just am in love with the concept, and pastries *hurr hurr*. I want the shop set they used in the anime OP, it was soooo cute~

I loved Antique Bakery. The story was so much better than I had originally expected it to be. And I agree, great characters and development.
And I like how you just had TJ speak over the dessert description. Though they were incredibly detailed and interesting, I kind of just starting skimming over them after a while. xD
