Tried drawing TJ and Amal in Katsuhiro Otomo's style. Otomo means rubble and gritted teeth! :UIndia ink w/ #102 nib on illustration board; tones in Photoshop.

Awesome!! All that's missing is for them to be running around screaming "TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!" and "AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!" repeatedly.

Poor Teej is bleeding, but his gritted teeth of determination and Amal standing above him like "I shall protect yous" makes it slightly okay, lol

Yeah. XD It's one of the ways I tend to distinguish his style, it kept pinging me as I was watching Steamboy before I checked the director's name.... 'these features look so familiar, BUT WHY.'

Despite the style the composition keeps reminding me of a trashy romance novel cover--the kind with a strapping, buff young buck with a wide stance staring off into the distance and a dame clutching at his leg as if he was a demigod or something, y'know?
Why isn't that a thing that's been drawn or poorly photoshopped? I feel like my life would be made better by it.

For some reason T.J. makes a better damsel to me. Maybe it's because I think that he could throw better irrational tantrums than Amal. Amal would just go and fix things himself.
