Oh, that was back when the story had no plot. I basically started over with the newer ones. As far as the world is concerned, the 36 pages I uploaded to the site are interesting little tidbits of development but not canon at all. The 13 newest ones you should count as the beginning of the series and disregard the others as more of...behind the scenes footage.
Still, as you may be able to tell, I've been at the series for about two years and even in the old comics they were still stuck in the desert. So...I've pretty much been drawing Rem and Jez stuck in the desert for two years and I'M READY FOR CLIVE AND SRIDAR TO ENTER THE SCENE PLZ. Haha so the point is I am sharing in your anticipation.

I'm working on the next page (but I won't post for a while because of my workload. HMS unfortunately has been placed on the back burner for now, though development of the story never stops; I learn something new about my world every day) and I'm making it a bit more dynamic, taking skills from animation. Hopefully it goes well. I really wish I had more time to work on my comic and get the story moving faster, but I doubt I'll have time 'til winter break. ;___;
I'm very happy you're excited for where it's going, though. I'm especially proud of the people who have been sticking by me for those two years and have seen nothing of HMS but Rem and Jez in the desert and a bunch of sketch dumps, but are still keeping up with it. I'd have abandoned my ass months ago, just saying.

It'll get there. I have been meaning to start a comic for months now, but all that ever came up was 2 experimental pages and a lot of sketches. I mean you do have a life outside of your art on DA and your webcomic.

Shibuki proves that smoking does, in fact, make people look cool(although I can't stand the stuff myself). Oh, look! Clive is sporting a hand on 'is vest!

Haha that was from sketching with a lighter marker and then filling in with a darker one. I obviously didn't go with the original hand position and instead brought it down with his sword. Haha I'm glad you noticed, though. XD

Pretty much just used the cutout filter on a traditional piece that was already decked out with lines. Just made it look smoother. *shrug* Clive was also far more blue in the original. Thanks!
