Trying out some digital painting techniques. If I drew Amal more realistically he'd have way shorter hair.PSCS2, Vin Pencil & ZhuZhu brushes, 75 minutes.

The shorter hair makes him look quite a bit older, like mid-to-late thirties or so. The choice of cool shading along his lower jaw and cheeks even resembles a bit of white face fuzz. But the man still looks damn good! It really accentuates his build, broad shoulders and all, possibly just because his head looks a bit smaller as a result. I could imagine Amal growing to become that old guy who has held onto his muscles over the years and looks like he could still deck you if you rubbed him the wrong way. But he's too much of a sweetheart to get involved in that mess, so instead he just shows off how handsome he looks in a sweater.

So this is a combination of more realistic and how you draw him? I like it! He seems to have a stronger jaw than normal on the right.
