Description Tried to edit/enhance the coloration in the original to no avail. So, when the colors don't want to cooperate, kill them all and go back to the old friends, Black and White. Oh yeah. Another little project for my new friend

Wow, great photo! Sometimes a picture is better suited to B&W. Color can be too overwhelming for some pictures, and the simple B&W brings out the best in the photo. B&W is good for the simpler shots, with a single focal point, and a little less complex background, but on the other hand, color can bring out the best in a photo if used right.

With B&W all you really have to worry about is composing a photo right, with color you add another level of complexity to it, where you have to make sure the colors work well together, and get good enough saturation to bring out the right colors.

With a lot of my work, I envision it in B&W while I'm shooting, this helps to imagine the difference between color and B&W. Soon I plan to switch over to mostly b&w film, cause color can be over rated.

Thank you for your kind comments, and yeah, not sure if you saw my other comment to someone else, but I liked this photo composition wise, I just couldn't get the colors where I wanted them in post processing so in a semi-aggravated stroke, I changed it to B&W and it was like... CLICK lol thank you again And I can't wait to see your b&w work. I didn't use to like it at all b&w, but as I grow as a photographer, I can really see instances where it is the best solution or where I would prefer it. Thinking of doing a lot of wedding photography in b&w

I'll share a little secret with you, I was actually originally trying to leave it colored, but the sky was a little too "blown out" for my tastes. So, I decided to see what it would look like with some b&w stylizing done to it! I'm glad you like it!

I adore B&W photography.. or desaturated images whichever.. this one kind of reminds me of the film Stand By Me. I absolutley it.
There's a sense of suspense in it too.. like is there a train coming round that corner? What else is beyond the corner.. how far has someone travelled to get to that point.. what's their destination etc.. sorry.. I ramble a bit.. point is I simply love things that make me sit and think.. nice job
