"That day in Hellfire Peninsula remains fresh in my mind as if it had happened yesterday.. He had just confessed his love for me and it took him all but a few seconds to shield me from the fall.. There wasn't an inch of hesitation in his eyes when he leaped from that gryphon's saddle and dove down after me. I remember thinking to myself that it was the end for both of us as he embraced me mid-fall to the crimson sand of Hellfire..

Every time I look to this ankh I see his eyes in these sapphires, his strong shoulders in the dulled gold; how could I not?"

Rajminaa's face began to glow like the moon, her violet cheeks turning darker as she blushed at the though of her lover.

"While that's a very sweet sentiment it doesn't answer my question about why you're not focusing on your assignment, Rajminaa." The Archmage from across the room was quickly losing patience with Rajminaa's daydreaming. "Start over, from the very beginning. You aren't leaving this class until your invisibility spell is FLAWLESS."

"But it's our anniversary today!" Rajminaa pouted.

"I wouldn't care if Deathwing is attacking Stormwind again! You're not leaving until your invisibility is---- Rajminaa? Rajminaa where are you? Show yourself, girl!" The Archmage growled with frustration and threw his staff across the room. "I swear that Draenei holds back just to piss me off."

This piece is in dedication to my love, , and our first anniversary, which was on the 19th of November.

Why does a Draenei Mage have an ankh you ask? Long story short, Juriim (my Draenei Shaman) gave his life for Rajminaa (Rachel's Draenei Mage) in an attempt to prevent her from falling to her death in a session of roleplay. Juriim brought himself back with the use of his ankh and to this day Rajminaa carries his burnt-out ankh around wherever she goes as a reminder of the Draenei that selflessly protects her every day.
