SMAAAUG!Drew as a commission for a friend's younger brother ^^ Considering I can't/don't draw dragons, I'm so happy with this.
With this drawing, I found a use for my ipad ... to have reference pictures on it and sit it next to the laptop x)
The white ball thing is supposed to be the Arkenstone and the writing by his head is the quote, 'do you think flattery will keep you alive?'

Pretty good, but I'd say perhaps, make the snout a bit longer next time and remember smaug was missing a patch of scales.

I like his pose and his eyes. You could probably try to add some scales to his skin, because here it looks rather smooth, not really like dragon-skin. But considering you said you don't have much experience with drawing dragons, this turned out pretty nice.
