Magnus Robot FighterJust a drawing I did for myself which ended up being the pre-lim to my Magnus Robot Fighter #1 variant cover. My editor saw this and asked for a re-work.

This is cool. Very simple and clean. By the way, it looks to me like that hero is holding something, like a lantern. Just sayin' my opinion.

Could not resist anymore, I had to sign up so that I can add to the accolades. I have followed and collected Magnus Robot Fighter since last time Jim Shooter restarted it. It is nice to see that this restart benefits from your talant and experience. The joy of story-telling shines through in all the great pieces you have posted here. To see you post this drawing "just for yourself" adds to that impression. Anyway, thanks for sharing this. I look forward to seeing more - here, in the funny books and maybe in your ebay store?

Magnus the way he's MEANT to be, in a SKIRT! I think the reinterpretations of him where they tried to lose that element were misguided. Take away that aspect of the costume and he's just some dood.

I've painted in acrylic, watercolor, and gouache for covers and illustration work. I have only done traditional coloring assisting my wife Linda Lessmann Reinhold who did traditional coloring for many years.
