I'm a huge Iron Giant fan, and Jerome's drawing just captured the feel of the movie brilliantly. The scale just blows me away (check out that super wide angle background). I wasn't sure if I should so more soft shdaing on this, but in the end I chose to keep it pretty similar to the original, which really sped up the colouring process (I pretty much missed out the last colouring step).

Awesome, Just like in the movie. I know that many fans want to be the way it is yet it would be cool if they made a sequel, I mean they haven't explain who created the Iron Giant and with an Invasion would be a cool story yet some movies don't explain the origins of a monster or robot so they keep it that way.

I mean really, The Iron Giant looks more like a weapon to conquer planets(with the big guns and all of that cool stuff) It would be cool if the aliens are hideous and have an army of giant robots or a more advance robot to fight IG.
A movie would be cool yet i know fans are afraid that they will mess it up, So i think either a comic or a video game will be a better way to get a sequel.

Not bad, sir! Really captures the scariness of IGGY's introduction to Hogarth that first night.
As I may have stated, the original art was rendered for Marketing purposes, and so I deliberately left the time of day neutral. The luminary could either be a sun, or a moon. I like how your selection makes a fine counterpoint to what Ladonite did.

I have seen the lad's version, and mighty fine it is too. It swayed the balance in favour of a night scene. Though to be honest, the scene did scream moonlit. Plus I'm really lazy and the darker it is, the less I have to colour.
