Neila, the Overlord of Fire; vengeful former slave and pyromaniacal arsonist.

Whilst Kaseem represents the passionate aspect of fire, I wanted her to represent the destructive aspect.

Thanks to I took some of his ideas and played a bit more on her Hakujin heritage, as well as her history as a slave, hence the manacles. Also I had been playing with the idea of a scar over her right eye due to a cruel former master.

Granted, she now has no depth perception, but when you hurl bursts of flame indiscriminately, who needs to aim, really?

Also at this point i started to realize all my women had near identical facial structure, possessing soft, rounded features.

So using a pic of Kate Beckinsale (Yes I'm aware Neila looks nothing like her) as reference, I set to giving her a stronger jaw and make her Caucasian heritage a bit more apparent.

Also, since the Hakujin race are a cultural blend of Japanese and Gwailo, I experimented with her clothes a bit.

Quite pleased with the previous design, I stripped her down a bit up top and lengthened her shorts to knee-length breeches.

pointed out that for someone who slings fire around, she wore a lot of fabric, so I made the pants leather whilst the only prominent items of clothing are the skirt and obi around her waist.

I have two basic rules on 'showing the sexy' for characters. It's very simple...

1.) when covering the upper body, show a lot of leg.
2.) when covering up the lower quarters, show some shoulder.

Also I made her a smoker, cos I liked the idea of her putting a cigarette between her teeth and it lighting by itself.

Also, I gave her freckles. I like freckles on redheads.
