It reminds my slightly of that game that Volcans play with the sticks. It just looks like a pile of sticks but after adding enough sticks, in the right way, it makes a cool shape.

What program did you use?

Everything I've put on this site I've done in a program called Apophysis. It's a fractal manipulator thingy-ma-bobber that's really interesting (IMO). It's freeware, so you should check it out if you're interested!

I've made those rods before, but not free floating like that.
