Description
Based on a sculpture that I did some years ago ( see [link] )Despite the sculpture shown many defautl, I loved the pose of my dragon so much that I always thought it would make a good painting
I am currently working on an alternative version of the sculpture in view to depict a "nice" dragon
Done with Painter11, using exclusivelly digital pastel, smudge blender and the eraser

This piece look great. colors used in the background really look good in contrast to the dark colors of the dragon. The only thing i would suggestion for he colors is make the highlights from the sun a little more visible. Everything from the way it is colored to the texture of the scales look top notch. I hardly ever see anyone attempt dragons, especially drawn realistically. I believe the concept of this image is pretty original. It defiantly suggests the dragons personality as well. Also nice job on the proportion. Overall I believe this is a marvelous piece, the coloring techinque look great and the texture are well established. Like i stated earlier, the only thing i would suggestion is brighten the highlights.

hi! imo, you would work well in the colours and light and dark, but the form of the dragon is very cool!

Jean, this is completely amazing. The detail is wonderful. the anatomy of the dragon is so perfect in the muscle definition. The color palette is outstanding. I love how the highlights in the dragon reflect the light from the background. Really outstanding work.
It made a marvelous puzzle also.

This is so epic, I can not form a proper critique for this.
The only thing I'd suggest is to fix up the rocks, because they look quite sketchy. Other then that, it's stunning.

This is an incredible depiction of a dragon! It really captures the majesty and power associated with their kind! I have only two (really quite picky!) criticisms to get out of the way! The first is that the front claws (talons?) of the dragon merge into the rock, making it very difficult to fully understand their shape. The second is that normally you draw with the subject looking 'into' the picture - so I would add another 2 inches of backdrop to the right of this picture to satisfy that 
As an aside, I am not a professional critic or artist so all opinions are simply subjective views of how I perceive your art

Quite usefulI effectivelly thought to add space on the right, but I felt that the background would seems a bit empty. I tried to added a castle just before the sun, but the dragon looks less ferocious and powerful. I hope one day I will come with a good idea to finalise it

This is a very strong piece with great impact. I love the light coming from behind the dragons head, it really sets the painting off.
