Today i was digging through some of my old files and i came across these, I cosplayed Legato Bluesummers from Trigun at Otakon 2004 and had allot of fun.
The armored parts and skull are all made of 1/8 inch styrene that i vacuum formed into ultracal molds i pulled from waterclay sculpts. All the strapping and trim is vinyl that i weathered with acryllic paint to look like worn leather, My friend Dreux helped me sew the grey fabric part of the coat.
I had quite a bit of fun doing the weathering on the armored bits making them look chipped worn and rusted,..i love weathering

Understandable. I live in Texas and the summer here is often 100-110 degrees. Plus I've heard those costumes often get hot.

Is that Legato from the anime, or Legato from the manga?

I combined elements from both and added a bit of my own.. but he leans more toward the manga version, his costume was a bit more elaborate.

My gosh, I've never seen any decent Legato (Reegal in Spanish XD) cosplay, but yours is definitely PERFECT!!! Trigun's one of my favourite manga/anime so far and I'm too picky when it comes with Trigun stuff...
But really, I TRULLY love this. You're just awesome, I don't know where did you got your hands XDD Tell me your secret!

Aww thank you, I'm really glad you like it! I'm a big Trigun fan as well, I always wanted to cosplay that character and make my own version of his costume so I combined some of the details from the anime design with the details of how he appeared in the manga and also how i thought he would look if he existed in real life,....and I made my hair blue, haha

Yes, I make all parts of my dolls from scratch except for the eyes, the clothes are made by costumer Dreux Priore
