I hope not...
Funny the idea of leaves coming out of dead bodies, I like that.

That's the most important, if it makes sense for everyone.

excellent idea and execution. the color isn't overdone as it could have been. the angle might take away from the drama of the shot, however, as the window could be on a building at first glance (which makes it less interesting.) the leaves and lack of nails in the boards are clues, but I want to feel that the window is really buried, and the angle hinders a little. that 'advanced critique' given, I do like this image quite a bit. the longing in those green leaves is incredible, and one gets the feeling that they cannot see the dead leaves that surround the window on the outside.

Hmmmm, funny you thought this was a window. It's not this at all.
Here in Kuala Lumpur, under sidewalks of every street, you have a kind of small underground river, in which the water from the street flows in case of big rain (as we often have here). And every ten meters on the sidewalk there are those kinds of holes on the ground, that are often closed with a few planks so that people don't fall in it at night. (sorry if I've reveled a mystery that ought better being kept).
Thanks a lot for the nice comment !

Firstly, thanks for this nice, constructive and interesting comment.
It's getting more and more uncommon on DA. So really you rule .
"now that i look at the pic again and see the 'window' as an underground hole, it feels like... there's some poisonous air above the glass protecting the green plants and if they ever reach out they'll die and turn black and white, like those lying around the hole."
I like this interpretation a lot, I had never really thought about a poisonous air floating above it, and the idea of reaching out and turning back black and white, is overall quite pessimistic, but really interesting, and quite true.
"there's some slight hint of green colour on the edges of the bottom two horizontal planks... was that done on purpose?"
No it wasn't, but I didn't take it off because I think it's ok like this .

This is just incredible, just unbelievable. This is the old Biskui, back with new strength!
It gives me the feel af an execution, along with a feeling of conscious neglect; like shutting Nature in for once and all. Also, I am aware of the fact that the wooden planks over it offer me a feeling of betrayal-- like man has even managed to turn Nature against itself.
The color difference is just... so powerful in this piece. It gives an unexpected power; seeing the small bit of green, very blurred and distorted by the glass, really goes right to the heart. Just incredible.
I dont know what else to say; it just has such an impact.

I'm very glad you liked it, and I like your interpretation really a lot. Especially that the planks are nature turned against itself by human, I hadn't thought of that.
Also, I think it matches "patched up heaven" quite well.

Actually it's a manipulation, there is nothing inside, I just added some plants impressions coming from another picture.
Now you can see everything you want in that/
