You have this talent of playing with perspective-- though, this time, there's something about the tree that makes the left side of this look like it's swelling, while the tree seems to be shrinking. Almost as if the tree is made to try and hold the building up, or the classic "tree is trying to fight off the building."

There's defenitely something about the composition that makes me stare for long moments. Also, the sky seems either oblivious or like it's choosig to ignore the whole thing, even though it's involved through its reflection.

As I said, very gripping compostition, and this defenitely holds the old Biskuian conceptual facet.

Thanks a lot.
I am quite proud of this picture .

I don't see it as a fight between the tree and the building at all. More like a summary of Nippon culture. The old and refined in harmony with the new and sharp. Something that strikes me here.

I am very glad you like it.

Your interpretation makes perfect sense when I look back at the photo. It makes the photo much more warm.

I like the contrast here, the old, wrinkled tree, and the glassy surface of the building.
I have a really modern shopping centre in my hometown, but it was build to look like old, and behing him is big tower block, the contrast is nice there too, but I always forget to take my camere >__<''

so, hows' in Japan!? write something! you've been there for 3 days now!

That is awesome! I love the contrast of the scraggly loose lines created by the tree and then the rigid lines of the building! And then the reflection of the clouds is very cool!

When zoomed out, it almost looks like the tree is as big as the building.
Play on perspective.
I like it.

This is definitely not what would happen in Japan. People here are very polite and even if they think something bad about someone else, it will never be known.
And anyway this people take so much picture when visiting other countries, I think they must find it normal the other way round hehehehe.
