Personality: He is very dutiful to those of higher ranks, giving them both obedience and respect, and gets irritated if those lower ranking than him don't show him the same. When Karim is happy he is likely to be generous to those around him. He gets quiet when he is angry and will walk away from the situation if he can or change the subject rather than argue. (WIP)

Backstory: Born into a wealthy noble family, to a loving mother and strict father. Karim was doted on from the moment of his birth because he was their first born, and the heir to the family estate. From the earliest age, he was taught by the best teachers and his own father. He was groomed extensively, learned the tricks of the trade, and how to make and keep his family’s wealth. By the time Karim grew into an adult he only had time for work, rarely socializing with others if it didn’t involve family business. But soon enough he found himself growing bored. Karim started going out to see the musicians or dancers, something is father had always frowned upon.
On one of his visits he saw a beautiful dancer, a black furred she-cat. He quietly asked around and found out her name was Laila and that she’d been sold into dancing by her peasant family when she was very young. Karim quickly became enamored with her and he eventually found himself making time in his busy schedule to visit her. She was dancing for him less and less, instead just enjoying each other’s company and they were soon in love. Word got back to Karim’s father, and in a fit of rage had Laila detained on a false charge of theft and confronted his son. For the horrible dishonor Kharim felt his son had done the family name, by loving a common dancer, he gave two options; for Karim to go up the Nile and live with his father’s younger brother with whatever honor Karim had left, or find himself dead in an alleyway in the near future. The choice was easy, but hard to accept. That night, Karim decided he would steal Laila away to someplace safe. He snuck his way to her cell but found it empty. The next day she turned up drowned in the Nile, and Karim knew his father had her killed.
He settled into the new house as best he could, though his father’s brother, Marid, was hospitable and pleasant, which made the transition easier. His uncle had a great thirst for wine, and Karim soon found himself indulging in the same bad habit. For two years Karim lived with his uncle, doing exactly what he had done under his father’s house, though was never close to the older tomcat. So when Marid died of an illness that second year, he felt grief but it didn’t compare to when he lost Laila. His uncle had no kin, so the house fell into Karim’s possession.

Other:
- The sigil on his sheet is to be used by the Yasin family only. It's on their accessories or cloths, and used as the brand on their slaves. Anyone under their employment also wears the sigil.

- Is a lover of wine. He'll drink it anywhere, but only at parties or at his house will he get really drunk off it.

- He dislikes dark furred cats. They remind him of Laila too much, and so will not have dark toned slaves or staff, if it can be helped.

- Could be described as 'chubby' or 'plump' though he's not overly obese. Mostly it's from his wine drinking, and should he ever give that up, he'd slim down a little.

Role-play Example: The trees grew sparser as Kadar and his mentor padded towards the Western mountains. They had started the journey sometime after dawn and had traveled through the Rune forest in relative silence, his mentor only speaking the occasional advice or encouragement. He was told that he would feel when his spellbound was near and it would draw him to it. Kadar had always held some doubt and skepticism about that, but now that he was out actually trying to find his spellbound, it made perfect sense. The slight tug he felt was undeniable, if a little hard to read at times, but it was definitely pulling him towards the mountains that loomed ahead. The ground under paw started to turn to rock and dirt when the sun moved passed it’s high spot and started descending rapidly towards the mountains in front of them. The brown and white tabby started to fear they wouldn’t reach the right spot where his spellbound lay until well after darkness had settled. Kadar jumped up onto a large boulder, it’s surface warm from the sun, and looked to the sky. Up high, flowing in a slow but tight circle, were three birds. The tom squinted his yellow eyes as they flew in front of the receding sun, unable to make out any more features other than their wedge shaped tails and large wing span. He looked away to the path that lead into the mountains. Would he have to travel all the way up them? When he looked down at his mentor to see if he had anything to say, the older cat just smiled up at him, his eyes wide. No, his mentor wasn't looking at him… but at something behind him. Kadar turned abruptly, looked back up into the sky to see that one of the birds from a moment earlier had broken off from the others and had turned into a massive shadow that was now about to swallow him. The sun blazed behind it as it swung open it’s dark wings, beating air passed Kadar in large gusts, then landed with minimal effort onto the same rock the brown tabby cat stood on. Kadar struggled to remember how to breathe as he took a step back and almost fell off the rock, the massive bird still towering over him. It’s lightly feathered head swept back and froth as it took in the sight of the startled brown tabby, a strange knowing look in it’s red rimmed eyes. Th-This is my spellbound?! Kadar thought in equal amounts excitement and fear.
