You are such a master at capturing the perfect DoF for every shot... these bikes look full of energy, as if they can't wait for the riders to come home to them.

Thank you so much. I've learned a lot from other photographers on dA. What you said, is exactly what I wanted to capture.

Thank you! That was the first time I ever took out my new 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. I love it.

It's clearly a great lens, but it takes a great photographer and artist too, for results like that!

Thank you very much Kat.
I don't think many people will like this one, but I'm rather fond of it.
I give much credit to my 50mm f/1.8 prime lens for the DOF. I love that lens love it love it love it and love it.

looks cool all sepia'd. looks of depth to this. i like the DoF especially how it leaves something in the middle yet there is stuff in the foreground and background which are brought out of focus (ok i know this doesn't make any sense but i'll explain it to u lata )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BitterGrapes In reply to bsq2phat [2007-05-22 07:28:56 +0000 UTC]

In 1959, François Truffaut's 400 Blows was an all-time great that featured a similar scene, a real grabber.

BitterGrapes In reply to Denis-Peterson [2007-05-22 13:26:03 +0000 UTC]

The 400 Blows is one of my favorite movies. I finally got the DVD of it a few months ago.
Thanks for referencing my pic with such a gem. I really do strive to be cinematic in my pics. It's kind of hit or miss...

(My all-time most favorite film is Charles Laughton's The Night of the Hunter)
