I wish I was better at thinking this way. The execution, obviously, is pretty much perfect (I wish the tip of his "wing" didn't get cut off though), but the idea is what really makes this so good.

Wasp city! Loving how the lampposts are like antennae.. interesting statement, though I doubt you had that in mind when you made this (antennae = satelites = cameras/trackers/hi-techy gov stuff and now we're into sci-fi..) hehe. I'm still amazed at how well you can manipulate, not to mention the brilliant concepts! My head is still spinning from the 'traffic' picture's full view..

All that stuff about 'transform/perspective, unsharp mask, polar coordinates and distortion/spherize' is all very 'interesting' - but the truth is that the real methods used here are talent, imagination and sheer creativity. An excellent conception. Keep going...

There was a time when I used to write down a description of ideas for art and then try to flesh them out. Have you ever tried that?
One thing I really want to do more is tell a story with my creations.

I never write down Ideas. Perhaps I should try. I have two ways of working. One is by inspiration, I see something I like and try to figure out how it is done. The second I call flailing. I start with an image that clicks with me and try to make something out of it. Sometimes it works sometimes it gets deleted and sometimes I put it away and finish it later. When it looks good to my eye, I am finished.

your're very welcome, i was blown away when i first looked at this piece, and i showed my dad and he was like oh wow the street lights are the wasps intenais(i can't spell) I've never seen anything like this its awesome, its probably one of the most orginial pieces of art I have seen in a very long time.
