Description Well, it's a bit muddy at the time, and not so sharp, but it's definitely on the right path!
Oh, yeah, and the not so cooperative ladybug wasn't helping much!

Thanks a lot to *Meyra for the idea and realization of the pretty pretty frame!

Like this photo a lot!
Very nice composition, the mud makes the flower and the ladybug stand out very well.

Very pretty shot Bianca! You are so lucky to have things growing! We are still completely buried under a ton of snow!

Oh, I'd love some snow right about now, we're having some sunny days, and the it's cloudy and gloomy...at least with snow you know where you stand! Thanks a lot for the too!

Well about 3-4Β°C (37F) but the sun made it seem a lot warmer

Gee, I think I know someone else that's been trying to get you to frame stuff............. Gee, golly whiz!

BTW, if you want to learn how to take this pic in focus, you can ask, I'll tell you how to do it, so next time you won't have to apologize for it!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Biutz In reply to TThealer56 [2008-02-03 09:16:14 +0000 UTC]

Well it's a tiny difference between suggesting the frame and actually doing it for me ...I think it's called me being lazy
And gee...aren't you sweet and supporting telling me I can't focus

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TThealer56 In reply to Biutz [2008-02-03 18:58:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you CAN focus, and you DID focus. Your problem was not your ability to focus. I did not say "you can't focus". Your problem in this particular photo is depth of field. It is NOT your ability to focus. If you look at the bug itself it is in focus, and pretty much everything on that particular plane in the photo is in focus. There are ways to trick even a point and shoot into doing this shot right. All cameras have limitations. You get better at photography by overcoming those limitations.
I don't give critique if I think the person receiving it has zero talent. If this is the level you want to stay at, that's fine. I will gladly shut up, and not offer to help. But understand, somebody "doing it for you" is not helping you at all. Sure, it got it framed, but it didn't help you learn. If you don't want to learn anything, then that's cool!

Well, actually, I see it as help - you know I don't normally frame stuff because I just want to show the photo as it is, with nothing distracting from it, even a black/blurred frame, but whenever someones does it I truly appreciate it, cause I get the chance to see it in their vision and on even rarer occasions (now that is) I accept it edited. The thing is if I ever start making frames for my photos, I wouldn't know where to stop, I'd start adjusting contrast, brightness, etc, cause there's always room for more, and end up with a manip instead, and I'd hate that (I know how it is from my photos - I start by removing a freckle and end up undithering away my face )
Of course I appreciate every advice, I'm perfectly convinced I'm nowhere near perfection, but the way I see it, the more I try to reach it, the more photography loses the fun factor which is what matters most.
And hey, admit it, someone doing it for you is always better than working for it...in every aspect of life
