Description Near Marysville on Lady Talbot Drive. Was burnt in the Black Saturday fires in February 2009.
I like how green the lush regrowth appears when photographed in such low light conditions. Could barely see through the viewfinder to frame and focus this.

Similar bushland taken shortly after the same fires. This area of forest is also at a similar level of regrowth.

Thanks Lizelle. I'm sure I am posting far too many forest shots, but everything has really started to grow again with the rain. I just want to share it with everyone who is interested.

Its beautiful and amazing how nature just grows back so persistently, so willing to survive and live on <3

Absolutely. For over 6 months much of it looked like nothing was going to grow back.

Thanks. It is a great area even though it is littered heavily with dead trees and sticks. Much of the river has dead trees fallen across it.

Had a play around with the IR filter in photoshop. Got a great B+W conversion, but it lost the impact of the fresh green regrowth. Thanks for the idea.

Beautiful photo - the bushfires were horrible.
Love the movement of the water.

Thanks. I would have liked a slightly faster exposure for the water, but was concerned about the depth of field as it was too dark to focus properly, so I stopped the aperture right down.

It's turned out very nice anyway
Reminded me of a similar river at my Aunty's farm.

The river itself is fairly typical. It is currently flowing more than usual due to the regular rain we are receiving, and of course is not usually this green.

Hi Kerry No worries, I am enjoying taking them. Just wish I had a little more time to get to some of the waterfalls on this tourist forest drive.
