Description Concentration piece number 6. The War/Slaughter horseman of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. No reference photo used for man. No reference photo for horse's armor or lower body. I used a memory of a drawing I did back in 7th grade with similar body armor and drew it well on the man and extended the concept to the horse.

Instead of doing a border on the bottom, I decided it was unnecessary and decided to fade it out to the black. Unlike the other horsemen of the Apocalypse that I have drawn, this rider is not on the horse. Since war and conuest (white horse) are so similar in meaning, I 'unified' the two pieces with the same jewels found on the sword and crown and the same gold rope. Like? Dislike? Why? Thanks!

ah war lol , scale armor is an interesting choice , it gives him a sleeker appearance . Where as allot that ive seen of this guy he's been bulky and uber armor clad ) . My quip about this one would be his nose . But again you are improving I really like the sword it has very realistic shading going on on the blade , it also compliments the sleek armor with its thin design (which is better than all the massive ass swords XD)

Thanks again! And once again, I could not agree more about the nose... actually just the entire face. Being my own worst critic, I cant stand the nose! And even though I like the 'sleekness' of his armor, I think he might be a little too skinny. But its hard to erase color pencil :/

I do really like the horse and the armor though. I actually drew a really cruddy version of a man with that sort of armor back in like 7th grade and decided that I wanted to use that idea but make it a lot better, so I did! haha

Hehehe as an artist we must learn through trial and error , much like real life . Drawing people is one of the hardest things to draw accurately X) , and all the people that draw faces often do only portraits ! Hmm idk the sleekness could represent an underlining consequence of war ? Hehe sometimes ideas stick with us, and they are usually the best because of all the changes and things that have been added. Basically having a worked out mature, and refined idea

I agree old ideas can be very good to use because over time, the idea becomes more and more detailed
