I wasn't fully supporting the FBI's action in taking it down. File sharing would be one thing, which is what MU was intended to do. However, Kim Dotcom made money off of pirated files. :\ Thats not exactly right. I mean, I'm sure we all illegally downloaded stuff from that site at one point or another, but hopefully no one was making money from it.

I agree with this. It's really frustrating, and to some degree the decision for the government to take it down IS unfair, but they certainly had a legal justification for doing so, and I'd argue a moral one as well.

I knew it was illegal, but I couldn't buy all music/movies/etc I like, because it's too expensive. Anyway, I like some kinds of music that aren't displayed in any music shop. It would be hard for me to find those albums even if I tried. That's all.

Yeah? Same here. I will confess to downloading stuff BEFORE I buy it though. Particularly with how expensive things are getting- I don't want to spend $50-60 on a game, and then learn that it's complete garbage the moment I get home.
And then you have games that are either impossible to get in the US, or cost a good $100 or so, like Tsukihime. At some point, you are FORCED to resort to downloading.
Now downloading movie/game tracks because you don't want to pay the... what, $1.20 they cost on Itunes, for instance? That's bullshit. But it's more complicated than you're making it out to be.

I understand downloading if game really isn't available in your country or if you just want to try it out. When it comes to music I think it's okay to download IF you're really going to buy it at some point. Because, you know, I have like 200+ CDs on my wanted list and prices vary from 4.95€ to 19.90€ ($6.50 to $26.30). And I prefer buying CD over buying download.
