This is a quick painting I did last night, today I gave it the last touches
It's a gift for my mom since tomorrow, March 9th is her birthday. I really don't have too much money to buy her something pretty, so I remembered that I promised her that when she changes from her old workplace to the new one I was going to make her a painting... and well ^^ here it is, her favorite cat in our feline crowd, the famous Benito (all the block must know him since she calls him 3 or 4 times a day ¬¬
This meassures 25cm x 30cm, it's a canvas board, I hate working with canvas, but it's the cheapest thing to practice with right now that doesn't need previous care. All made with acrylics and colored pencils. I gave it a coat of matte barnish for protection ^^
Oh, I forgot to mention that mom also loves green, so I added this color to the background ^^ I hope she likes it as much as I do! (she's the most complicate person in this house, you never know if she's going to be happy with the gifts you give her

The colors were a total experiment, I tried not to get so crazy about them and well, it worked

Yup, Benito has the most expressive eyes of all the cats we have, you really know when he's looking at you and thinking... If his teeth weren't that weird, I'm sure he would be a wonderful advertisement's cat!

She likes it a lot! I'm so lucky, since during the years she was really critique about my art... I'll never forget when she said that a horse I painted was a german shepperd >.<
