I have so many OC's but I stick with the main thirteen characters.
Lucas Hill: The Lancer to his cousin, comic relief, main character.
Amber McCormack: The hot-blooded teenage girl, but quite smart. Quick to anger. Secondary Character.
Harold Rivers: One of the main characters. Loves sports. Leader of "The Team". Charismatic. Witnessed his brother's abduction.
Janey Mather: Perky Goth, has a mysterious past. One of the main characters.
Xavier Pilkington: Intelligent, known for his inventions. One of the main characters.
Matisha Mather: Shy, quiet, known to heal others. Janey's little sister. One of the main characters.
Carolina Mason: Calm, collected, loves listening to music. Has an excellent memory. One of the main characters.
Neil Green: Sarcastic, has a sharp tongue, can be cold to people, but is loyal to his friends. One of the main characters.
Arthur Rivers: Before he was abducted by aliens he was a "big brother" to Harold. After being rescued he soon gets married and has a son. After being rescued he soon reached the age he would be had he not been abducted.
Lavender Bolton: Little sister to Declan and Leah. Double Agent. Reveals her alliance to the "Team".
Leah Bolton: Older sister to Lavender. Double Agent. Reveals her alliance to the "Team".
Declan Bolton: Brother to Leah and Lavender. Double Agent. Reveals his alliance to the "Team". The "Red Herring".
Palitunia (Paula): Alien Queen, main antagonist. In 2043, she sent her minions to abduct a then ten-year-old boy but ends up abducting his seventeen-year-old brother, aims to conquer the Universe.
So these are the main characters for my project. They are still being worked on but this is the personalities of them at the moment.

I agree. Fan art has taken hold on almost every art site I've visited. I want to see more characters born from the deepest depths of one's mind for once.

Agreed. The more thought and effort put into making your own character helps people's creativity's juices going. Even if some were influenced by the characters of another, you still have to make up your own.

Aww. I love my OC's too. And I also enjoy other people's own characters and original art (both visual and lit). n_____n And I agree with the other comments that there certainly is (even) more space for real original characters that are not related to some already existing manga serie for example.

I have been drawing original characters before I started drawing fanart, but I find some good in either situation, though for me, it's always better to see original characters than characters created for someone else's universe. Go original characters!

It's sad that original characters pretty much go unnoticed while Naruto/Sonic/Pokemon fanart get all the attention. What's even more ironic is most of the Poke art on this site isn't even good. The Naruto pics are pratically all the same and I have yet to see even a decent Sonic pic. So I say, Less Fanart! More Original Characters! *Has quite a few OCs of his own*
