This Mog is not for throwing unfortunately. He was too cute not to make.His clock works, I wish I knew enough to take it apart and replace the face but I think it looks appropriate.

If you would like to try it I would definitely recommend starting small, I first bought just a single block of Sculpey III. It's around 2 USD and comes in 57g size. Sculpey III comes in every color but you can also paint it with acrylics. [link] This journal has some great information, there are also a lot of tutorials on here. Just search polymer clay in the tutorials section.
The best thing you can do is try it, if you don't like it then you aren't out a whole lot of money and if you like it then you can make all sorts of things. Sorry this is so long! I hope I answered your questions.

as soon as I find my sculpy I have got to make this. saw it on tumblr earlier today and I thought it would be such a cute gift!
and just for the record, most arts and crafts stores sell the clockwork sets in all sorts of sizes.. sadlt they can cost about 20$ and then some depending on the size and such.
But when all esle fails, get a eyeglasses screwdriver and pop the glass off.

Bleh that is too much, I just got a cheap 3 dollar watch and removed the strap. I try not to spend a lot when it's just something for myself.
If you are gonna have him on tiptoe I would suggest using steel wire to support him, it worked really well
