thanks a lot ! it was hard to figure out the texture on tila (the black humanoid being) because she was described to us as an Eldritch : a creature made of tar-like vapor, incredibly dark but at the same time glossy and slimy.

sorry, I didn't explain : we have a pen and paper rpg we're building and playing with my best friends, and we used the term "eldritch" to describe the entities such as t'ila, but it was originally an adjective that applied to lovecraftian horrors, that were qualified as "eldritch abominations". I must admit I still don't know exactly were it came from in the first place.

For my most recent big paintings, I paint in grayscales under SAI. then I use gradient maps on CC in order to give my composition a general hue and some indications of coulours in the lights and shadows while mainaining a coherent palette. then I go back to SAI and pain over the details, lights and shadows... if need be I then open photoshop once again to adjust colors, contrast etc. with even finer parameters.
