Not sure if I'd want my barrel to be that short. Just not sure how badly my hand would get burnt by the muzzle flash.

I like the high profile sights and your choice of caliber. The modularity of the fore-end grip and stock make for a compact sub-machinegun. I can see this gun being dual wielded, although the recoil would become an issue with that type of usage and the ammunition indicator is on the side, which might not be all that useful in a combat situation. Overall great concept, mass produce and distribute for the right amount of market saturation and any deficiencies could be ignored.

That is the general idea behind it. Just swamp the market and make it cheap.

did it again! Something about this one really looks sharp, I think its from the compact look with the protruding grip, nicely done!

Another great design man. I really like how rather than extending the overall length of the forward section and barrel so you could mount some sort on the vertical grip or have one built into the handguard directly, you've got this forward mounted pistol grip that puts your hand so far forward that you might actually catch some heat from the muzzle flash. Better wear some gloves.
It's cool though cause it doesn't require the actual gun or barrel to be longer and you get the added benefit of having a second ergonomic hand support, plus the benefit of a full stock which is crucial when dealing with an SMG like this. I could even see this working with a bare bones stock if you really wanted to cut some weight or needed it to be a bit more PDW friendly.
Like in your design for this one:
But maybe not as long.
Is the forward hand grip fixed at that length or is there a bit of room for drawing it back, say if it had a straight mag instead of the Banana?
Either way is cool and this is one of the things I like about your weapon designs in general. Not only do they look functional and realistic, but you design weapons that have room for variation. It's not a static design that can't be altered. It's like, this shows up in stores and then a month or two later there's all these aftermarket parts to change up the gun and personalize it a bit.
Also, don't be surprised if in a month or two you see an SMG from that "borrows" that foregrip idea. Credit where credit is due of course.

Thank you, Jon. I'm glad that you liked it.
Truth be told I was inspired by the Thompson M1928 when it comes to the forward grip. It was mounted in a very similar fashion.
The grip is adjustable as the mount sits on a rod, so by loosening a screw or too it can be shortened by a couple of inches.
Please, borrow as much as you want. I'm looking forward to it.

Haha, bro, I suppose it is russian name. But what on Earth doesΒ Bolesjnikovnaja mean? Wow, someday I will see not good but just normal russian-based name. I believe. Some day.Β
Seriously, it sounds like a mess. Like an abomination, a random mixture of 3 russian endings in one word. Not to mention the main word - boleshnik. Wat? What is it - Boleshnik?
I love your guns, love the things you do. I see how much efforts you put into your work.
So why, my dear friend, you don't want to dig it a liitle bit further and to make a real cool proper name for it?
I could help you with that if you wish, tell me what do you mean byΒ Bolesjnikovnaja and I will gladly find a proper cool-sounding russian name for it, so it will nice to read by europeans and understandable by russians.

I'm so sorry, Ivan. I,d never thought that this stupid name would cause such a strong reaction.
I confess, in my laziness I never made any research for it, so I just came up with it.
If you want to help me, I'd be very happy with that. I don't really know what Bolesjnik suppose to be, but I imagine I wanted some kind of futuristic version of a bolshevik.
In the world I've created, there's an empire where old communist ideas are rebranded to fit the current regime. You know, workers unite and that sort of thing.
So the colonists of new worlds are called Bolesjniks. The idea was that this gun supposed to be a symbol for the expansion of the empire.

Wow, sounds cool. Really cool.
Actually, why don't you just call it just Bolshevik? The word bolshevik means - the one from majority. So you may use something related to major, mass, many. Man of the majority.
If you want to change it to sound cooler, ad the ending -ist, Bolshevist. So the gun could be named Bolshevitsky or simply Bolshoi-gun. This actually means "big" like Bolshoy theater, but the gun Really not bad one coinsidence.
Anyway, it's just my humble IMHO as a language-user.
If you will stick to Boleshnik - so just shorten the name of the gun to Boleshnikov. That's manadtory, because additional ending -vnaya makes no sence ah means a femenitive adjective. Like "my girl is pretty (krasivaya)" mom is kind (dobraya)". But just boleshnikov sound like a real, rather pleasnt to ears last-name. Maybe of an engineer-constructor of the gun. They often calls their arms with the name of the engineer.Β
