Role: The Spy

Weapon of Choice: Blade-Fans

Allies: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Splinter Hamato, April O'Neil, Spike (sort of), Leatherhead, Monalisa (maybe if I put her into the story I'm making...)

Enemies: The Kraang, The Shredder, Karai (for now), the evil mutants, The Foot Clan

Favorite Food: Sweet and Sour chicken

Abilities: Ninjutsu, climb walls, heals faster than humans, high jumper, excellent vision, speaks fluent Japanese as well as English

Likes: Video games, reading (fiction), working with computers, skateboarding, surfing, swimming, sitting on the ceiling, snowboarding, pizza, cockroaches (she thinks they're cute), fighting crime, dreaming

Dislikes: Dresses, the color pink (on herself), some of Mikey's odd recipies, anchovies, eating bugs of any kind, being woken up, her friends and family getting hurt, heights (unless jumping rooftops of course)

Backstory and other things to know: When Hamato Yoshi came to America he made a decent life for himself, got a job and a small apartment. But he didn't feel complete and one day came across a little girl the age of 5 who had run away from an orphanage she was living in. When he got her to trust him enough, Yoshi learned that according to the lady in the orphanage the little girl had been dropped off by a teenager of 16 or 17 years of age. The teenager claimed to be the mother but that she couldn't take care of the child so left her there. After hearing that she was abandoned, Yoshi decides to adopt her to make up for his failure to protect his family back in Japan.

He renamed the girl Jonah Hamato (her old name being Riley I think) and for nearly a year things were almost right with him again until the day he and Jonah went to the pet store and purchased four baby turtles. While there Joe had also handled a type of black gecko before they found the turtles and when they were leaving, Yoshi spotted the Kraang (not knowing it was them) and went to investigate. Joe followed since you can't leave kids alone like that, and after Yoshi performed those badass ninja moves the mutagen in the container hit the ground, splashing him, Joe, and the turtles. As a result Yoshi was turned into an anthro rat mutant and Joe into a humanoid lizard mutant (gecko-like type) while of course the turtles became humanoid mutant turtles and in the process aged to 2 or 3 years of age (Joe was still 5 at the time).

After the mutations, Yoshi calms Joe down as best he can as she starts getting scared and leads her and the turtles to the nearest manhole to enter the sewers. Years later finds Joe at the age of 17 and the turtles 15, all training in the art of ninjutsu under Master Splinter (the name Yoshi adopted to protect them all from Oroku Saki if he were to come looking for Hamato Yoshi). Joe's weapon of choice is a pair of steel blades shaped like fans (it's unknown why she chose red for the color to all but herself) but there are times she will weild one of the other weapons like the bo staff or even a katana (just one since two seems tricky to her). Once she and the turtles started learning to use each other's weapons, the sai became one of her favorite second choice ones since it was also a hand-held and small weapon, similar yet quite different to her fans.

After meeting April O'Neil, Joe becomes happy to have a female friend, even if April is also only 15 (I think). Despite being around another female though, Joe had adopted many of her 'brothers' boyish habits and isn't the most lady-like (though knows manners at least). This helped her to remain on her brothers' good sides throughout the earlier years considering she was the oldest and most-likely to be seen as an annoyance otherwise. Despite being the oldest though, Joe never saw her self that way. Leonardo was always the most mature and everyone saw him as the oldest (or Alpha Turtle as Donnie would sometimes refer to him as much to Raph's annoyance) and when he was chosen as leader she was more than relieved, knowing he was the best choice even before Splinter had chosen him.

Jonah, having been a human at one point, still has hair just as Monalisa did in the 80's cartoon. She just keeps it hidden under her mask/bandana to keep it out of the way.
