VERY young. His rattle is barely grown from a the button!
Western Diamondbacks are beautiful, but I love the Eastern's more. They're calmer and one of the largest.
And, it might have been an accident, but my life was saved by one! LMFAO!
ALSO! Good luck getting the shot without getting bit! ^.^

I was sleeping on a couch in a large garage that my sister and I cleaned up enough to make a club house when we were little. A possum came into the place, hissing and carrying on while approaching me. Then a rattler slithered from under the couch and struck at the possum. I'm sure it was just doing it for it's own safety, but it saved my life. I just thought it was cool that it didn't hit my ass when I came in.... I would think "It's because I was born in the year of the snake~" when I was younger. LOL!

although i think, like other user also mentioned, i would prefer it if the head was in focus. but i think the movement is too fast to focus, isnt it.

Because it was on my ankle probably. Skin is pretty shallow there and most of the venom leaked out or never even went in... Also, Western Diamond Backs are among the less venomous of the rattlers due to their large size, (quantity over quality.) This was just a baby that bit me, and even though they say babies are more dangerous (cause they don't regulate the amount of venom they inject,) It didn't have nearly as much venom as an adult!
