Description

Jade is a master of the Teras Kasi style of martial arts, although after meeting Ash and Khalis, has recently occasionally dabbled in other forms of martial arts that have something to do with her Tzutian heritage. Hope you enjoy.

------------------------

Name : Jade Ilian

Alias : Master Jade

Age : 39 years old.

Hair Color : Dark Emerald.

Eye Color : Hazel.

Race : 3/4th Epicanth, 1/4th Tzutian.

Nationality : Bundukan

Skin Color : Caucasian but very tanned, something like a Mediterranean skin tone.

Height : 6' 2”

Weight : 400 lbs.

Family ( and people she considers so ) : Il'sa (Mother), Cuso (father).

Occupation : Martial Artist.

Fighting Style : A personal variation on Teras Kasi, geared more towards power based attacks and high impact attacking.

Build : Very muscular yet feminine for her specie.

Personality : Jade is a rather patient, yet a very competitive woman. She always likes the aspect of a challenge, although that may be her nature due to how she was raised, or it may have something to do with her bloodline. She can be rather sympathetic to one she feels is trying but isn't quite making it, despite the great effort. Jade is rather easy to talk to and get along with, but if there's anything she respects, its humility, and power. But when angered, shes almost a completely different person, which even shes afraid of.

Likes : Being able to fight, seeing other styles in action against her own, training her mind and body, admiring the physical form, reading and seeing other cultures, and stories of her ancestors from her Epicanth side of her family.

Dislikes : Feeling out of shape, her stomach feeling empty, students who take advantage of her occasional leniency, the occasional feeling of being an outcast on her planet, and her students failing their last test.

Danger Level : Jade is a clear example of a brute force fighter. Shes good at channeling inner energy to allow her muscular density and mass along with her strength to be as straight forward or as physical as possible, hence ensuring she is no pushover. She is considered a XXX+ rank fighter due to her take on a very deadly art form, with N/A Class 2.5 rank for physical endurance and focus due to her unique physiology and the impressive muscle density her body has due to its mass especially when enhanced. Her mental abilities are considered as SS rank for being rather intelligent fighter with some knowledge of technology, and her physical strength is considered N/A Class 2.5 rank in for having a high level of physical strength that she’s able to wield quite well when channeling all of her inner strength along with her own physical strength. Her spiritual energy is registered as an SSSS rank due the amount of spiritual energy she has inside that shes yet to fully utilize. Taking these into account, her overall danger rank is at XX+.

---------------------------------

Life on Bunduki isn't something one would wish for their child... at least not willingly. Born to a couple who had lived on planet, Jade was the only child in their household. Il'sa and Cuso knew Jade would have issues growing up... but they felt if they could weather the storm, the girl would become stronger than they could wish for. She was trained very little at home, and ends just didn't justify the means. Things were hard, and her mother, Il'sa felt if something wasn't done soon, their child would suffer from a lesser life than they had. Il'sa made the choice to send Jade to the academy after a small amount of time, knowing full and well what would come of it. Cuso debated it with her for hours, the young Jade watching from a crack of a door, when he finally conceded, and the following day, they had taken her to the grounds of the academy to enroll her. Jade almost cried as they had walked away, but at that point, there wasn't much left to do...she had to continue for their sakes and her own.

Jade was treated rather badly by her peers once they had found out about her bloodline. If anything it caused her to hate the Tzutian part of herself... a hatred that would carry until an event that happened in her later years. She like the few others like herself were shunned for their history, and for so, were usually trained a bit less by some of the other teachers, but constantly put up against older, more advanced students. If there was anything Jade was known for amongst her peers, it was her tenacity...and her attitude that showed she wasn't going to back down. A recently made master by the name of Arwen somewhat realized her and the others plight, and decided to test them to see if it was worth training them.

Jade felt this was a chance...to show the woman she wasn't inferior in any way shape or form. She was going to stand up...and prove that she wasn't worth their ire. In the fight, she held her own, and actually adapting to the situation and overcoming it. The girl fought harder and harder, not looking forward, nor back as to what was to come. She was too young to realize why Arwen took them in and trained them in the way and manner that she did. As the years went on, Jade always felt the reason why she kept an eye on them, was to wait for the moment they failed, and to then look down on them the way the others did at the beginning. But it didn't happen that way...or she wasn't going to let it happen that way. Jade developed physically far different than the others due to her bloodline, but she was also one of the most attentive learners.

The days became weeks, the weeks became months, and the months became years. Before long, Jade had become 21... and she actually did have the option to go home on occasion to see her parents if necessary... but Jade felt she wanted to see her parents again AFTER she had finished becoming a master. She felt that was her goal...her holy grail, to prove that she had in-fact become better than what she thought the other masters thought and felt about her. She had gone out training with Arwen in a rather mountainous region, and the two had begun the session. What was originally supposed to be a one week training session, quickly turned into a fight for survival. The force from their strikes caused an avalanche, and although Jade was able to avoid much of the worst of it... Arwen wasn't as lucky, and was badly injured. Jade was pretty sure that it couldn't have happened under their own power, but she had tried her best to ensure her master would recover. She wasn't going to let her die before she could prove herself to her. Arwen had told her a few things that were essential to give some medical assistance, but afterwords, they had begun their slow trek back to the academy. As they traveled, Jade tried to stay strong mentally and emotionally, for inside she was whole heartedly worried. Not only for Arwen's sake but for her own, but within 3 days, she had returned.

Arwen was unconscious when they had returned, but Jade was alleviated when she felt that the worst was behind them. But for Jade, the worst was still to come, as one of the masters came to her, blaming Jade, and suggested unfair play. Jade already on edge, and on a short fuse insulted him, and argued with him, saying she was totally innocent in the matter. The words quickly turned to fists, and although Jade was the stronger physically, he was the far better fighter, and he attacked her quickly, and fiercely. Jade was about to die... and as she was about to be banned from the site, Arwen's voice spoke out, telling him she wasn't involved. Jade was unsure...what to feel. The person she felt didn't care...or held her emotions behind an iron curtain, actually defended her when it mattered. When he backed off, Jade just quietly expressed her gratitude, while she recovered, and her opinion of her master completely changed, although she wouldn't outwardly show it.

Jade started training again, redirecting her focus to bettering herself after that humbling defeat. As time went on, she began to open up a little more during downtime around Arwen, and somewhat saw her as a surrogate mother figure. Jade had progressed as a fighter, but during that time, her master became a grandmaster. 9 years after the incident, Jade was 30, and had applied for the test to become a master. The first test was against lower leveled students, several of them, and Jade did her best to control her force used. It didn't take too long for her to beat them down, and although she wanted to be harsh with her criticism, she was somewhat lenient, but had pointed out all weaknesses as best as she could. Some took her words lightly, others just ignored her and went on their way. They regretted it. The next test was simple...to face the others that if she passed, she would find as her colleagues.

The fight was harder, and it did drag on longer than she wanted, but in the end the result ended in the favor she wished it to be. That, and she got to get retribution against the man who had beaten her 9 years ago and had insulted her. Her body was a bit sore, but her spirit burned brighter, as she felt she could really take on whatever came next. The following test was something she didn't know was coming, but she welcomed, which was a fight against a fellow candidate for promotion which the first to 3 blows decided the winner. It was a young man who had done well in the other tests, and was favored to complete and get the 3 blows first. He had gotten his two shots within the first 3 minutes, which snapped Jade's content feeling, and put her back on the offense. She got all three of her shots in rapid succession. A punch to the face, an uppercut to the midsection, and finally a rotating elbow to the jaw that sent him launching backwards. Jade was feeling pretty good...the last part was coming the following day, and as far as she was concerned, she was ready for anything.

Anything slapped her in the face pretty damn hard. The woman she had quickly come to respect, and soon after saw her in a very new light, was her last test. She had to face Arwen. The girl was incredibly disheartened as the battle began, and it was very obvious. As much as she didn't want to fight, she kept pushing... and it caused her lose the use of her right arm. The bones in it were almost completely smashed to bits. She was trying to do it again...and it caused the bones to be broken in her other arm...and the ligaments to be torn. As she rested on her knees... quietly staring up into her eyes, she could see into Arwen's eyes. She almost felt like their souls almost connected... Arwen could see the fire in Jade...but the confusion that so strongly combated it at the moment. Jade could see the slight disappointment starting to form... Jade's eyes squinted, and she felt a resurgence, a drive that wasn't there moments ago. She wasn't the better fighter between them... Jade knew that. As far as she knew, she just had to hang in here.
Jade quickly got up, and came at Arwen as hard as she possibly could, showing such a fire that it would bring tears to any enthusiasts eyes. Although all she did was bruise Arwen...and Arwen broke most of the bones in Jade's right leg also, and 4 of her ribs...she stood before her out of sheer willpower still willing to fight. Arwen stopped the test...and Jade had passed. Joy crept onto her lips, before she passed out, and it took a day and a half in a bacta tank, but she was back to normal and was now a master. She somewhat avoided conversation with Arwen for a few days after she had gotten out of the tank, because she still loosely remembered the pain from the fight, but she eventually started speaking once again, turning to her for advice when it called for it.

Jade earned a reputation for being a very fair master, who usually pushed her students, and if needed to eased off if it got to the point they struggled and couldn't push anymore. Three years had gone by, when she had met two students that she was impressed by, Ash and Khalis. Jade had been one of the masters that Ash had to spar against for her test, and as well contested as Jade tried to be, the much younger girl was able to keep up with her blow for blow, when Jade had earned a reputation for one of the hardest hitting masters. Being knocked down and out, she had taken to heart the abilities of the Saiyaness and her compatriot. Their powers and abilities had opened a bit of a box of curiosity inside her heart...something that began to itch, and it slightly bothered her. Jade did the one thing she should have done years ago... she visited home.

Jade had become a bit curious on the side that she had shunned, and hated for so many years, and chose to question her mother, the reason why she was “different”. She had learned about her Tzutian heritage, about the Saiyajins, and just about everything else she had to learn. As she left, she took the things she had said to mind, heart, and soul, and had returned to teach her students the best she could. Six years later, Jade has matured as a teacher, physically she feels stronger than shes ever been, and she feels that she may need to not only continue advancing her art form, but to continue looking more into the latent traits that could come out down the line.

Hmm, she's cute. I like the posture and color scheme.

Her name's appropriate, she sounds like she has a very "earthy" persistent, strong-willed, yet outwardly gentle personality. I mean, this is more or less how I'd imagine Earth as an element being embodied.
