I totally forgot about this one. It's one of my favorite experiments from my last year.Amaterasu, the sun goddess and most important Shinto deity. (japanese mythology) Stylised childrens book illustration.

I remember this hanging on the wall in the Illustration classroom.
The pink colours in this give it a lovely, dreamy feel and her face is beautiful and serene. Lovely illustration!

I love the sense of style for her. At first I was thinking the game Okami when it didnt load but I love your design of Amaterasu. The textures on her kimono are nice and I adore how you did her face. The pink backround helps out with her as well.
