Lannie inside the Black Lotus marshes. I decided to finish it anyway. I should take some time to find and read some decent photoshop tutorials about backgrounds, shade and water. I'm glad when my lifedrawing classes start again, what a crippled torso ;___;.Related content

Wow! It's so pretty, and I think her torso looks just fine. (Not like I'm an expert on torsos or anything, but that's beside the point.) 'Tis beautiful!

^^ The only think I would want to see improvement on is the water. The rest of the background looks absolutely great, especially the clouds and the little sparkly wind bits.
Anyway, I really like this character. She has a great design ;3 I like her expression here; it looks almost inquisitive.

I think with this style... O_o you don't have to worry too much about the torso. It seemed ok.
For the water though, its pattern is too repeatitious. Then again I am just repeating something you probably already know.
I don't know any decent photoshop tutorial on the backgrounds, other than space art. ^^bb For scenery, all you have to learn is how to do them the traditional way, and then apply it to photoshop, use photoshop as a tool.

Create your own customized brushes if you haven't, it will help in creating the texture which you can use to create enviromental drawings. (although your current style rely on lines more, you probably can do without it.)
Some lazy but mastery painters would actually combine photos and painterly quality to make backgrounds... but their style fit into it wonderfully.

Nu wel, ben erdoor. Maarja amuseren niet echt, dat huis is nog niet af, dusja... naar school en nog wat werken hier dat gaat moeilijk zijn, maar ik zit tenminste volledig in het derde... Anders verloor ik studiebeurs met de kans dat ik moest stoppen. Zit je nu in maastricht dan?

i like it very much, but for the next time you should have more atention to the wind effect, if you put the lotus and the hair floting with the wind, so the tunic should be floting. Even so i like it very much

I like how the mist/foggeh stuff looke like it kinda rolls off the water D: I, myself, won't even ATTEMPT water xD Because I don't know how I'd do it. :/ About the torso, I don't see anything wrong with it... please enlighten me? 8D

her boobs are placed too high and her back is in a painfull position :/ That's because I first intended to place her in another pose, but bah... this came out... I really need more practise on coloring, no matter what I try, I still seem to suck ;___;

XD Like I have one dude in my gallery that I made in an unnatural looking posision... because I couldnt fit his legs on the paper o.o And about the boobs. I cant draw boobs D: AT ALL. Which is why my fursona is male XD ... and that confused lots of people.. so I changed my gender to male on DA so maybe people will forget I'm female and quit asking << XD! <<
