I feel really silly, because colours came out wrong, because the scanner wouldn't get rid of the little rumples in the paper. >_<Anyway...this is Zhaneel, a gryphon from the book I just finished reading, The Black Gryphon. Needless to say, she is not the Black Gryphon. she is one of my favorite characters though, and this is from the scene where she is drinking tea with Amberdrake after embarassing herself. She's so sweet ^^

Done in about...fifteen minutes? With my new tinted graphite pencils and waterbrush ^^ I love my tinted pencils

and no one has seen me draw a gryphon because I'v never deemed one that i drew fit for public viewing xD. but since the summer holidays are here, I might see if i can draw one worthy of uploading. Its also an excuse to use my new tablet!

The light and dark reds came out wonderfully, I think. I don't know what she's supposed to look like in the book, but I think she looks beautiful right here.

lol thats awesome. I love the texture. If you want to fix the colors though the best way i can telly you to do that is go into either fireworks or photoshop and mess with the hue and saturation, lightness and darkness, and brightness and contrast. Thats what i do with my sketches, saves a lot of time to. Just a suggestion though. I like it how it is. Its very good. I also dont know if you intended to do it, but everything draws attention back onto itself(if that made any sense at all, it did to me, but then again I'm a bit nuts
