Death and the Fool-
Just as the scythe of death reaps all those high born or low, none are spared the mirth and farce of the fool. In the Major Arcana of Tarot, the fool is blissfully unaware of impending doom, while the Death card represents the dawning of insight and transformation. In the middles ages, the juxtaposition of the two were often represented by Death in the form of a jester.
