My third (but second coloured) picture of Miraculous Ladybug characters in autumn fashion, this time featuring BFFs Chloé and Sabrina.My lineart got messed up and I had to fix it using the colours I'd put down as guides TT^TT This more happened with Chloé than Sabrina, though. Which is a pity, because I really liked the way Chloé turned out. And I want her outfit.
As I'm writing this I realise that part of Chloé's scarf I coloured in is actually part of her shirt. The line below it was a necklace chain that got messed up in when Chloé's lineart got messed up. Oh well. The necklace was supposed to have a bunch of chains on it, alternating between bare chains and ones with stuff on them, but you can't see any of it but the bottom because giant scarf. I also realise that I forgot to add in the little holes on her skirt in the scallop edging. Oh well, again. Chloé's outfit was easy to put together when I thought of matching leg and handwarmers. Then I decided to have the scarf and the hat match in colour. Chloé it was all about trying to match nicely, with the skirt and the belt giving me the most trouble. So her belt is white but looks like it's ivory like her presumably cashmere scarf and matching accessories, and her skirt is just taupe like her leggings.
Sabrina's outfit came more or less fully formed in my head once I saw a high-waisted skirt/cutoff sweater combo, except in the plans I had she was wearing different shoes (but I can't draw lace-up shoes very well) and her tights would have had dark polka dots on them. Cuz she is wearing tights, not leggings. She's got shorts on underneath. So I went with ankle-strapped shoes with either a low heel. her hat was also supposed to have a cream-coloured bow on the side but I think that got eaten by the lineart problem I was having so I accidentally erased it thinking the lines were just sketch errors.
The colours look really pretty on my computer but really wonky on my phone, especially Chloe's colours.

Lovely picture... but for once it would be nice to see Chloe in an outfit that DIDN'T include yellow and black

It originally didn't, actually xD But I was having problems with the colours. Originally, her cardigan would have been navy and red, but the I started running into problems getting other colours to look good together, so I just moved the red to her shirt and made it more of a wine colour and gave her the yellow and dark brown cardigan (but it does look black because I went too dark). I mean, you'll notice how Sabrina doesn't use colours she normally wears, and how in the other autumn fashion I did, I also avoided using colours Adrien and Marinette usually wear, outside Marinette's purse and grey scarf. I always came in with intention to not use the colours the person always wears. Chloe I had a lot of problems with. I probably could have gone back and made her jacket navy and red with this combination, but then I'd have to change her shirt and roses to be different and it'd just be a cycle.
Since yellow and black/brown look pretty good with most colours, it made things easier to coordinate after that. I wanted her jacket to be something dark with bright panels on it, since her outfit is mostly cream, taupe, and brown, so I wanted it to pop. Her shirt was intended to be a similar if not identical colour to the roses (and I originally chose brown, then orange), but none of it was looking right with the different cardigan colours I went with. I eventually defaulted to just yellow and dark brown, almost black, just to make things easier. I probably could have done a different colour other than yellow, to be fair, but I was attached to the wine colour I chose for her shirt and I didn't want to use all three primary colours on her design, and I didn't want to use red, white, and blue on the same design (this was when her hat and other cashmere accessories were brown, not cream). I suppose orange would have worked, but tbh I can't see Chloe in orange, which is why I scrapped it from her shirt and the roses.
tl;dr version, she didn't originally, but after struggling with finding the right colours, I just went with it because it made picking out the colours for her shirt and the roses easier. But I did spend ten minutes on the belt after colouring everything around it before I gave up and went with white. Thank you for taking the time to comment!!
