While Nev is not fond of his blind kid he had to keep an eye on him,at least until the juvenile was able to take care of himself or perished for his lack of vision. It was in his instincts afterall, trying to give the kid at least a chance even if he didnt believe he would reach adulthood.

Sure Nev had tought of the kid just making a wrong step and falling down a cliff more than once,it would have made his parental duties easier. But Desolator had shown a great skill in adapting to the rough life haead of him, learning to navigate in a dark world really quickly. Tough that day maybe Nev prayers got answered.

Having to cross a small swamp to get to new hunting grounds with theyr pack, Nev had to stick behind as the kid took longer to navigate the muddy terrain,falling behind the group. His usual swears and complains on the kid tough got cut short as,either from the movements of the kid next to the water or simply Nev yelling, the two cryolophosauruses found out they were not alone. Not at all.

What once in Nev sight seemed to be moss covered rocks came to life, his reflexes just enough to not get caught,but Desolator couldnt say the same.

The screeches of pain of the juvenile echoed in the swamp,letting the entire pack know what was going on.

Nev was sure that was it,this is where the kid gets taken care of,seeing his blood taint the green waters. a good meal for the gators instead of himself.

But unfurtunately for him the pack came to the rescue of both,chasing off the reptiles and saving theyr lives....Even if Desolator had lost something else that day.

Something that would scar him,emotionally and phisically for sure,and make his life harder on the island.
